News & New works
Hi Everyone,
The last few months have been quite busy. I've been working on a combination of portraiture drawing at Watts Atelier, a perpsective masterclass course, and some new paintings.
I've also now officially launched my Etsy store where you can purchase original drawings and large and small giclee prints of my previous works (see below for an example of my A3 print).

These originals and prints can be shipped, via standard postage, internationally and within Australia for free.
Dark Valley is one of my new large oil paintings that is based on a small paint sketch from late 2017.
This work has been a long time coming; I started it way back in December 2017 and couldn't resolve some aspect of the composition and so left it for about 10 months until working on it again. The painting also has some very strange adhesion problems and so a lot of my time was spent fighting the surface and trying to work out how to build the layers without them not sticking.

Nontheless, the work was finished in late April and is now on its way to the City of Busselton Art Award. I'll also probably make some prints of this work -- let me know what you think of this.
In the next blog post I'll share the other two large oil paintings. These are re-creations of some of the plein-air sketches on my website under the Landscapes section.
