Hi Everyone,

It has been a very, very long time since I've made any noise on here. For that, I apologise.

I think it's safe to say that the last two or so years have been very challenging for many people.

To provide you with an update since my last post may be difficult to contain in a simple blog post like this one, but I will attempt to make it compact for you.

Essentially, my focus has moved away from creating fine-art paintings (specifically studio pieces) and has moved into the realm of public art and mural works. This was not how I had planned my career to play out, but it has been very rewarding and taught me a great deal about painting and creating in general.

My core focus is now on providing a service that seeks to transform and enliven spaces for public, commercial, and corporate clientele. It is about taking people on a journey, creating a visual manifestation that speaks and moves them deeply, personally, and profoundly. It is about taking people from the real world and, through the mural, transporting them to this 'unreal' place. The unreal place grants them a meaning and value, as well as eliciting specific emotions and feelings.

To say this has all been easy would be a great lie. It has been a tremendous journey and one with many lessons. It has been difficult, testing, unbearable, deeply rewarding and also exhausting. It has been many things.

For now, my aim is to update the "commissions" section of my gallery on the website and inform you with more details and photos of these commissions. I may also look towards integrating a shop so I can sell prints of select commissions, and also offer some original fine-art pieces once I work out how the shipping and commerce sections of FASO work.

Until next time, all the best.

Tom.
